The modern farmhouse feel of this yard started with a blank slate; it was scraped bare by the builder and SOMOS created the entire yard with terracing. at the bottom of a problematic downhill slope, this gorgeous new home is now safe from water damage due to SOMOS's innovative use of open channels as landscaping features and terracing. 

Almost all of the plantings are useful or edible; vegetable gardens, fruit trees, medicinal plants, herbs and shrubs provide the structured hedges and forms in the landscaping.
